Riverside County: help paying for grab bars, ramps and home modifications

In Riverside County, most home repair money is run by individual cities, so your address decides which program you can use. People with disabilities anywhere in the county can ask Community Access Center about a free modular ramp. Medi-Cal members can also ask their health plan or the county's waiver and MSSP programs. Funding is limited and several programs use wait lists, so apply early and to every program you qualify for.

Programs that install or pay for home modifications

Checked Oct 2026: the City of Menifee says its Minor Home Rehabilitation Grant is not taking new applications because all funds are allocated, and the City of Palm Springs says its Home Rehabilitation grant is closed, so neither is listed below. The Housing Authority of the County of Riverside also describes a Senior Home Rehabilitation Grant of up to $25,000 for very-low-income senior homeowners in unincorporated areas and former redevelopment areas, but its page doesn't say whether money is left; call Neighborhood Partnership Housing Services at (909) 988-5979 to ask.
